I am thnking of holding the Snowsurfing World Championships at Hurricane Ridge presidents day weekend or MLK weekend. It would be open to both bi decks and single planks, anything without binders. The goal would be to push the binding free movement to the next level, whatever that may be. Who's down? any ideas?

Frank I love the idea of a giant get together in the backcountry with both powsingles and bidecks. with la nina hopefully delivering cold wet weather the conditions could be great. But I probably could only swing one trip out to hurricane and the end of the season romp is too good to miss....

That's what I'm thinking. Just a big get together mostly. Backcountry pow slashing, B-Bqing and some beer swilling. Get a bunch of powder boards together and see what works and what doesn't and progress from there. If you cant make it send out your favorite powder ride so we can test them all back to back, top decks, subs and singles.

then you could have a demo/comp. my thinking is if you got this thing up and rolling and the weather was looking good, I would be hard pressed not to come out.

why not?  "World Championship" gives it a nice ring, eh?  Can't help it if we are geographically undesirable.  Heck, I couldn't make it last year and I live just a 2.5 hour drive/ferry away.

If there would be any sponsor that pays the flight, i would come ;-) its about 700 - 800 euro to fly to LA and back (1000 US-Dollar) ... just as example ... 09/10 lets organise a europe championship :-)
